In November, Macao is blessed with refreshing autumn breezes and abundant harvests. It is a great pleasure to join all of you at the "Dialogue on Technological Civilization and Co-Building Happiness"–a sub-forum of the 2025 Greater Bay Area Science Forum. On behalf of Guangzhou Nansha, the organizer of the 2025 Greater Bay Area Science Forum, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all of you for your presence, and express my heartfelt thanks to all friends who have long cared about and supported the development of Nansha.

科技革命浪潮奔涌向前，产业变革重塑时代未来，正以前所未有的深度浸润生活、滋养幸福。澳门这座充满魅力的城市，是科技浪潮中的先锋，更是民众幸福生活的乐土。与澳门遥相呼应，南沙同样承载着“文明”与“幸福”的城市愿景。近年来，南沙以《南沙方案》为牵引，深耕科技创新驱动，用科技为“幸福”加码，不断提升高质量发展的“科技温度”与“幸福增量”。科创“硬实力”持续增强。先后集聚南沙科学城、港科大（广州）等战略科技力量，布局冷泉生态系统等一批国之重器，高标准建设了国际先进技术应用推进中心（大湾区）、大湾区场景创新中心等创新平台，集聚南方海洋科学与工程省实验室等新型研发机构 22 家，建成省级以上工程技术研究中心 198 家、企业技术创新中心 34 家，创新的浪花正在湾区之心奔涌跳跃、奔腾向前。产业“新活力”全面迸发。人工智能等战略性新兴产业加速发展，汇集了云从科技、科大讯飞、小马智行等一批人工智能企业，高新技术企业数量年均增长 21.5%、总数突破 1300 家，国家级专精特新“小巨人”企业数量 3年增长近 11 倍，科创企业如百舸争流，产业浪潮似千帆竞发，在南沙这片广阔天地蓬勃向上、肆意徜徉。生活“幸福力”加速释放。深入实施广东首个未来城市综合实证试点，自动驾驶、低空飞行等新型交通方式触手可及，全空间无人体系“超级场景”加快形成，正打造未来城市建设新标杆。诚挚欢迎澳门朋友，到南沙亲身感受这座未来之城的创新脉搏与宜居魅力。

The tide of the technological revolution surges forward, and industrial transformation is reshaping the future of our era–it is penetrating our lives and nurturing happiness with unprecedented depth. Macao, this charming city, is not only a pioneer in the wave of technology but also a haven for people to live a happy life. Echoing Macao, Nansha also embraces the urban vision of "civilization" and "happiness". In recent years, guided by the Nansha Plan, Nansha has focused on driving development through scientific and technological innovation, using technology to enhance "happiness", and continuously increasing the "technological warmth" and "happiness dividend" of high-quality development. The "hard power" of scientific and technological innovation continues to grow: We have successively gathered strategic scientific and technological forces such as Nansha Science City and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), deployed a number of national key facilities including the cold seep ecosystem research platform, and built high-standard innovation platforms such as the International Advanced Technology Application Promotion Center (Greater Bay Area) and the Greater Bay Area Scenario Innovation Center. We have also assembled 22 new R&D institutions including the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory, and established 198 engineering technology research centers and 34 enterprise technology innovation centers at or above the provincial level. The waves of innovation are surging and advancing at the "heart of the Greater Bay Area". The "new vitality" of industries is fully unleashed: Strategic emerging industries such as artificial intelligence are accelerating their development. We have gathered a number of AI enterprises including CloudWalk Technology, iFlytek, and Pony.ai. The number of high-tech enterprises has grown at an average annual rate of 21.5%, exceeding 1,300 in total; the number of national-level "little giant" enterprises (specialized, refined, characteristic, and innovative enterprises) has increased by nearly 11 times in three years. Scientific and technological innovation enterprises are competing like a hundred boats, and the industrial wave is surging like a thousand sails – all thriving vigorously in the vast land of Nansha. The "happiness power" of life is being released at an accelerated pace: We have deeply implemented Guangdong’s first comprehensive pilot project for future cities. New transportation methods such as autonomous driving and low-altitude flight are within easy reach, and the "super scenario" of the full-space unmanned system is taking shape rapidly, making Nansha a new benchmark for future city construction. We sincerely welcome friends from Macao to visit Nansha and experience firsthand the innovative vitality and livable charm of this future city.

去年，由粤港澳三地政府联合主办的2024大湾区科学论坛首次在南沙成功举办，吸引了包括全球顶尖科学家在内的800多位精英齐聚一堂、畅叙友谊。今年，论坛将于12月7日再次在南沙盛大开幕，汇聚全球顶尖科学家与创新资源，为粤港澳大湾区建设具有全球影响力的国际科技创新中心注入新的澎湃动力。

Last year, the 2024 Greater Bay Area Science Forum, co-hosted by the governments of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, was successfully held in Nansha for the first time, attracting more than 800 elites, including world-renowned scientists, to gather here and exchange friendship. This year, the forum will open grandly again in Nansha on December 7th, bringing together top global scientists and innovation resources, and injecting new and powerful impetus into the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as an international science and technology innovation center with global influence.

今天是2025大湾区科学论坛的首场系列活动，我们衷心期待大湾区科学论坛能持续发挥粤港澳三地间的纽带作用，推动更多优秀人才和优质合作项目实现深度合作与对接。我们衷心希望各位专家学者碰撞出新质生产力的智慧火花，为科技赋能美好生活建言献策。我们热忱邀请各位同仁多到南沙走一走、看一看，与南沙共享时代机遇、共享发展红利。

Today’s event is the first in the series of the 2025 Greater Bay Area Science Forum. We sincerely hope that the Greater Bay Area Science Forum will continue to play its role as a link between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, promoting in-depth cooperation and connection among more outstanding talents and high-quality cooperation projects. We also hope that all experts and scholars will spark the wisdom of "new-quality productive forces" and offer suggestions for empowering a better life with technology. We warmly invite all colleagues to visit Nansha more often, and share the opportunities of the times and the dividends of development with Nansha.
